This unit's focus is all about inquiring further into why cultures have constructed the types of homes, buildings, monuments, and various other buildings that exist in their communities. Is the architecture a reflection of their beliefs? Their values? Or maybe influenced by their needs and wants. What is the purpose for the types of structures we have seen in past versus the ones we see now? What's their function?
Students are asked to start thinking about these guiding questions and what materials they would possibly use if they were to construct a building of their own. They can begin to bring in these materials this Thursday! 4PT will be under construction for this unit of inquiry :) Patterns
