Dear Parents,
On 23 March GWA Early Years and Elementary Students will have the annual Book Dress-Up Day. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind for Elementary Students.
We encourage the kids to dress in a way that makes a connection with ANY book. Nonfiction is especially encouraged. Working/dressing in GROUPS is also encouraged to add to the fun.
Thank you and ENJOY!!

- Dress as a favorite character, author, illustrator or book “composite.”
- MAKE your costume. No going to the shops! Be creative, borrow, and share. Make what you need from what you have or what you can find.
- Be sure to have the book with you to show friends on dress-up day.
- It’s fun to work in groups! Can you find a costume idea for more than one person? (Ex. Enid Blyton’s Famous Five.)
Thank you and ENJOY!!
